Church building in the Pacific Islands
To provide a high-quality church meeting house in a remote and exposed location in the Pacific region near the equator. The build quality had to comply with the Pacific Island’s building standards.
Site features and requirements:
This site is very near the sea and is subject to salt spray, very high temperatures and humidity. The location was remote and all building material was imported to the site. Local labour was utilised with additional technical support from Lockwood. Higher levels of treatment were required as this is a termite-prone area.
The building was completed to specification and within the time frame specified.
